About
So…
This blog began life as “Target Audience” – an ongoing mission to read every Doctor Who novelisation starting with the first, Doctor Who and the Daleks. Then it was Canon Alberic’s Scrap-Book, named for M.R. James’ first ghost story, and perhaps not very representative of what the blog’s become: a miscellany where I post my thoughts on books, films and TV shows, and mainly one TV show: Doctor Who.
The blog’s title is a quote from Doctor Who and the Creature from the Pit by David Fisher (script edited by Douglas Adams):
Stupid expression, ‘stands to reason.’ Why isn’t it ‘lie down to reason?’ Much easier to reason lying down.
Seemed appropriate to the content, as you’ll see.
